Martina Jembrišak
Jembrišak (1995) is Croatian accordionist and bandoneonist recognised for her „ precision, devotion to details, great musical personality and sense of musical expression” (Cantus). Martina has appeared in recitals at the Yamaha Concet Hall in Vienna, Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb, Croatian National Theatre in Split, Croatian National Theatre in Šibenik, Concert Hall of Kaunas State Philharmonic, Concert hall of Radio Television Slovenia, Oekolampad in Basel, Kiev Composers Society Concert Hall, Routh Hall in Bromsgrove, Croatian Institute of History Golden Hall, Matica Hrvatska, Museum Mimara, Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Concert Hall Ivana Brlić – Mažuranić in Slavonski Brod, Place Dverce, Diokletian’s Palace in Split, Palace of Croatian Defenders in Pula, Cultural centres in Banja Luka, Izola, Niš, Erbezzo and Trieste and concert halls at the „Mikola Lysenko“ Lviv National Music Academy, „Fryderyk Chopin“ Music University in Warsaw, „Stanisław Moniuszko“ Music academy in Gdansk, and music academies in Bratislava, Vilnius, Zurich, East Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Split and Pula.
She performed with Radio television Slovenia symphony orchestra with Yi Chen Lin and En Shao, Croatian National Television symphony orchestra with Alan Bjelinski, Fryderyk Chopin University Orchestra with Maja Metelska and Anna Galanty, Junge Sinfoniker Basel with Ulrich Dietsche and as a part of Chopin University Modern Ensamble with Ignacy Zalewski. Martina’s performances have been featured on Croatian Radio (Od portreta do portreta, Nedjeljni akvarel), Croatian Radio Television (Eurovisian contest of classical music), Slovenian Radio Television (Noč harmonik) and her awards include more than 30 interantional prizes won in Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic and Lithuania. She has expanded the contemporary accordion repertoire through a wide range of commissioning projects, and has premiered works written especially for her by the composers coming from Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. She hold presentations for accordion students at Zurich University of the Arts and Department of Music at Lesya Ukrainka Eastern European National University in Lutsk. Martina Jembrišak finished her Postgraduate studies of Music Management and Master of Music from the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw where she studied with Klaudiusz Baran.
